PGS Premier Arch Trellis Fence Topper – 6ft x 5ft

This arch trellis panel from PGS is handmade in Shropshire using pressure-treated timber, making it a solid and characterful addition to any garden boundary. Measuring six feet wide, it sits neatly on top of a standard fence panel to give you extra height and privacy, while the graceful arch rises a little higher than the shoulders to add a pleasing visual detail. The rough-sawn laths are arranged in a horizontal and vertical pattern, creating a classic square lattice with gaps of around 70mm — enough structure to feel private without completely blocking light or airflow.

The panel works just as well as a support for climbing plants as it does a fence topper. Sweet peas, honeysuckle, and clematis will all find plenty of room to weave and scramble through the framework, and over a season or two the whole thing can become beautifully green and lush. If you want to introduce a bit more rhythm along a longer boundary, it pairs nicely with PGS's concave panels to create a flowing wave effect.

The timber is pressure treated with Tanalith E, so it's built to withstand the British weather without much fuss. You may notice a slight green tint when it first arrives — that's perfectly normal and will fade as the wood weathers. It's worth waiting six to eight weeks before painting to let the treatment fully cure first. As with all outdoor timber, a little movement with the seasons is to be expected, but that's simply the nature of a genuinely hand-crafted wooden product.
