Pressure-Treated Timber Fence Post – 2.4m x 100mm x 100mm

These sturdy 100mm x 100mm timber posts are a solid choice for anyone putting up a new fence or hanging a gate in the garden. At 2.4 metres tall, they provide plenty of length for setting securely into the ground while still reaching a good working height above the surface. The substantial 4-inch square profile gives them the strength and rigidity needed to support heavier gates or act as corner and strainer posts in a fencing run.

Each post is pressure-treated using Tanalith E, a tried and trusted timber preservative that protects the wood from rot, decay, and insect damage from the inside out. You may notice a slight green tint to the wood when it first arrives — this is completely normal and will gradually fade as the timber weathers and settles into your garden. It's worth waiting around six to eight weeks before applying any paint or stain, giving the treatment enough time to fully dry and cure into the wood.

Made from mixed softwood, these posts are well suited to the typical demands of a UK garden and should give many years of reliable service with minimal upkeep. Bear in mind that timber naturally expands and contracts with changes in temperature and moisture, so some slight variation in dimensions is to be expected — this is perfectly normal and won't affect the performance of the post once it's properly installed.
