Pressure-Treated Timber Fence Post 3x3" – 4ft (1.2m)

This 75mm x 75mm square timber post is a solid, dependable choice for a range of fencing and gating projects around the garden. At 1.2 metres in length, it works well as a support post for lightweight fence panels, trellis sections, or smaller garden gates where a sturdy upright is needed without the bulk of a larger post. The timber has been pressure treated using Tanalith E, a widely trusted preservative that penetrates deep into the wood to protect against rot, decay, and insect damage. This kind of treatment gives the post a meaningful working life outdoors, even when part of it is buried in the ground. You may notice a greenish tint to the wood when it arrives — this is completely normal and will gradually fade as the post weathers and dries out in the open air.

Because it's made from mixed softwood and has been freshly treated, it's worth giving the post six to eight weeks before applying any paint or stain, allowing the preservative to fully cure. As with all outdoor timber, a small degree of movement and dimensional variation is natural as the wood responds to changes in temperature and moisture — nothing that affects its performance or strength in use.
